Parent Newsletter 04/03/2020

Hello Families!

It’s wonderful, warm (kinda) April! I love to feel the warm sun and to see the spring flowers blooming! These things fill me with hope! I believe that all will soon be well in this crazy world, and one day the spring of 2020 will be something we recall with emotion and wonder.

On-line learning has been in full swing now for a few days, and word from the teachers is that things are going well overall. The teachers had to learn how to use Canvas, and now our families are learning as well. It has been a steep learning curve for all of us, but I guess we are never too old to learn! A big shout out to all of you, teachers and families, for your patience and adaptability with our new learning protocol.

Here are some items for the week:

Spring Break – Monday, April 6 – Friday, April 10

This spring break will definitely be different for all of us this year with the restrictions that have been put in place. Regardless, I hope you all find time to relax, read, binge watch a favorite show, sleep, and enjoy your families.

Because it’s spring break, there is no expectation for school work to be completed next week. In fact, the teachers have been asked to not do any work or even check emails during the week so they can have their much-needed downtime. The school will continue to be closed.

Online Learning

Yep, it’s spring break, but here are a couple of items to assist you with on-line learning before and after spring break:

That’s if for now…..

Please know that we here at Bella Vista appreciate the time and dedication you are spending helping your children learn during this soft closure. We are, all of us, true learning partners because “it takes a village to raise a child.” I love my Bella Vista village!

Thank you so much!
