Happy November Bella Vista Families!

Gobble!  Gobble!  I love this time of year!  Actually, I think October, November, and December are the three best months of the year.  Call it the cooler weather, the colored leaves, the pumpkin pie, and the anticipation of holidays….it’s all wonderful!

November has been a fast month….It just seems like we were watching our Tigers parade in costumes…and now we have turkey and trees on our minds.

Bella Vista Elementary has stayed busy with “readin’, writin’, and ‘rithmatic!”  Reading comprehension is happening, writing skills are improving, and math facts are sticking!  Hurray!

Our 5th grade students performed the play Tall Tales and Heroes and showed off their impressive acting, singing, and dancing to the delight of the student body and family/friends. Bravo 5th grade! A big shout out to our 5th grade teachers, Mrs. Nielson and Ms. Delcher, for their hard work.  Also, THANK YOU to our neighborhood friend Mrs. Kitchen for her directing skills, time, and talent!

Here are a couple of items and reminders:

·       Thanksgiving Break/No School:  Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, November 27, 28, 29  (Tuesday, November 26 is a regular school day.  No early out day).

·       Donations for the Road Home:  Donation bins will be at our school Monday, December 2, through Friday, December 13.  Watch for more information in Peachjar and a flyer home.

·       Winter Recess:  Winter recess starts on Monday, December 23; school resumes on Monday, January 6.

  • Parking Lots:  With our small parking lots, we are needing your help and patience with dropping off, picking up, and parking.
  • South Faculty Parking Lot:  Thank you for NOT parking in the faculty parking lot because we have staff members who exit and return at all times during the day
  • North Drive-thru Lane:  Thank you for not parking your car in the drive-thru lane or in the street
  • Attendance:  Learning happens every day in your students’ classrooms, so please ensure that your students are here

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thank all of you for your dedication to your students’ learning at Bella Vista.  We have a wonderful school, not only because of our students and staff, but also for our families!

Enjoy that second slice of
pumpkin pie!
