Principal Letter 10.26.20

Hello Tiger Nation,

We have a busy week at Bella Vista and wanted to keep you updated on a few items:

  1. Halloween- This Thursday October 29th students can dress up in their costumes.    We will NOT be holding a parade but instead will be doing a “Virtual Picture Parade”.   Students pictures will be taken that morning and turned into a slideshow that will be shared for afternoon parties and posted on the school website for parents to view.  Online/parent-guided students who want to participate need to submit their student’s picture by 10:00 am on Thursday October 29th.

  1. Weather Days–  When the weather doesn’t cooperate students will be allowed to enter the building early.   Starting at 8:30 am students will be able to enter the school through their grade level doors when the temperature is below 22 F or inclement weather occurs.   Signs will be posted out front notifying students and families when these days occur.  As friendly reminder all students should arrive no earlier than 8:30 am on any school day.
  2. Bella Vista Spirit Shirts–   You just can’t hide that Tiger pride!    Students were each given a shirt today for the 2020-21 school year.    Students are encouraged to wear their Bella Vista shirts on “Tiger Tuesdays” to show their school spirit.   Online/parent-guided students may come to the school to pick up their shirts.
  3. Picture Retake Day– Tomorrow October 27th is picture re-take day.   These are for any student who has not taken a picture yet or needs their picture taken again.   Online/parent-guided/and preschool  students maybe come between 11:00am-12:00pm to have their pictures taken.   You can purchase a packet online by going to mylifetouch.com and using the picture ID: EVTF7XFMN or send a check with your student.   All pictures must be pre-paid.
  4. Virtual Book Fair– Book Fair will run from Monday, November 2 until Sunday, November 15th.  All purchases support our school and earn 25% in rewards.  All orders ship direct to home and there is FREE shipping on book-only orders over $25.  Teachers will be handing out the Book Fair flyers to the children on Thursday.
  5. Join PTA– Information from PTA was recently sent to all parents on how to join the PTA.    Starting tomorrow October 27th a contest will be occurring for one week (Oct 27-Nov 2nd) between classes for which class has the highest percent of parents join PTA.    The winning class will receive a pizza party.
