School Community Council Tuesday, August 27, 2019

Members in Attendance: Kim Steenblik, Becky Parkin, Alicia Swift , Jessica Van Wagoner, Thomas Dark, Wendie Nielson, Sandra Dahl-Houlihan, Colleen Winterton (secretary)

1.  Introductions

2.  How ‘bout this school?

   Showed council the vinyl, paint, new banners. There will be a new TV in office for student pictures, history corner, etc.

3.   Meetings for the year – November 5, March 3, & April 28th.

4. Plans for the year                                                                                                                    a.  Land Trust – 3 interventionists                                                                                                i.  Minor adjustment in spending                                                                       b.  CSIP/TSI- Sandra reviewed each of these with the council.  She showed the TSI plan.  Will email it to SCC members and will review it every meeting.

5.  SCC Training – Colleen will send out dates. Oct. 2, 8, 10. They will be held at CAB East.

   1. August/September – Fire

   2. October – Lockdown

   3. November – Bomb Threat

   4. December – E.S.C.A.P.E (active shooter information for employees only)

   5. January – Fire

   6. February – Shelter-in-place

   7. March – Hazardous Materials
