Behavior as of 2/6/26
– Focusing on Recess. New Recess aide being hired. 

Attendance as of 2/6/26

• In order to meet our goal of a 5% increase from last year, we need to keep our “on-track” attendance at 59% or higher. We are currently at 82%.
  – We’re doing better with less seasonal illness.

Academic

• RISE 2025 Data
  – There’s still a lot to be done. Student engagement has been our focus. We landed in the lowest percentile subgroup for ELL (English Language Learners) putting us in TSI status. We’re looking at ways to increase engagement for multilingual learners, new strategies, support, groups, ect.
  
• TSI Status – Plan completed on 1/29/265
• February Safety drill report and budgets
  • Land Trust
    • 2025 – 2026 Allocation/Total with carry-over: 33,771.57 / 35,487.96
    • 2/1/26: 17,800
    • Instructional aides x2, books for instruction and incentives
  • TSSA
    • 2025 – 2026 Allocation/Total with carry-over: 53,333.66 / 59,002.12
    • 2/1/26: 40,000
    • Reading Gala, school spring field trip, pbis school store, behavior and instructional aides, Software Math/Science,  STEAM Fridays Teacher Budgets, Teacher Professional Development/subs for teaming
      – PTA is handling the Reading Gala food and support for the spring field trip. We may have extra we can spend down here. 
  • Cell Tower
    • 2/1/26: 9,600
    • Teacher appreciation, PTC meals, fun Friday incentives for staff, will be used to support end of year closure event needs. 
  • February Drill – Hazardous Materials 
• Transition Advisory Committee Update
  – Looking at important traditions that kids can look forward to from Ridgecrest, maybe add in some from Bella Vista. Parent communication channel options to build a social group – Honeycomb? Kids who are having a hard time behaviorally with the transition can utilize Ms Gabi, the school counselor. 
• Input from the Community if present
  • Screen time for independent work
    – The district has decided that screen time should absolutely not be used for independent work.
