SCC Meeting Agenda

October 20, 2025

Welcome & Introductions

● Approve September SCC Meeting Minutes Motion and Voted – Approved

● Digital Citizenship with Colleen Winterton

Filtering and Supervision. Explanation of what LanSchool and Content Keeper are. TCP (technology

content portal) – you can sign up and see what students are using. Devices used include:

Chromebooks (used at home with the same safety precautions). Concern: Does LanSchool catch a

bypass through Google Docs? Devices are loaded only with what teachers allow and teachers

sufficiently supervise use during class. AI Citation Guidelines – AI is not going away so students need

to be taught and equipped while they’re young to use it ethically and correctly with proper citation so

they don’t get into trouble as adults for relying on it. Digital Citizens lessons are incorporated for the

students, called Thrive Time.

Answered the Digital Citizenship questions as a group. All were in agreement.

● Review Current Data

Behavior

The biggest struggle currently is at recess. Students don’t have a great skill set in conflict management.

Junior Coaches could help – 4th and 5th grade role models. Have teachers highlight it in Thrive Time

lessons.
