Welcome back to school Bella Vista Tigers! This year we will be experiencing art in a new way! Instead of each class visiting the art room, I will be coming around to each classroom every week for a half hour to provide art. Some weeks we will complete our project in the 30-minute time frame however, for other projects will require more time, so we will take two weeks. In our first month of art we will be making a whole school mural. Each student will design their own puzzle piece unique to their own personalities and then the pieces will be joined together to create a mural, showing that “In this school you are a special piece of the puzzle.” As the month progresses, we will move on to learning about the art element -line. Students will study the variety of lines used to create art and then have an opportunity to use those lines in their own art
projects. Finally, we will finish up the month by leaning about the artist
Vincent van Gogh and create some of our own van Gogh inspired art. I am looking forward to working with your child this year as we have fun creating.
