Hello Tiger Nation!

As we approach the start of the school year in one week we wanted you to be aware of a few items to make the beginning as smooth as possible.

Student/teacher assignments:

§   Families can now log on to skyward and view their student’s teacher.  Online registration must be completed first in order to view your student’s teacher.  

In-person students:

§    School begins August 24th for 1st thru 5th graders. Kindergarten students will begin August 27th.   Kindergarten KEEP testing will take place August 24th  thru 26th.  The school will notify you of your appointment by mail.  

§  Arrival: 
The first bell rings at 8:40 and teachers will let students in their grade level doors. School officially begins at 8:45.  The playground will be closed before and after school so please DO NOT drop off students early to play.  Tiger paws have been painted outside each grade level entrance where students can stand to be physically distanced from one another until they are allowed to enter the school.  

§  Breakfast:   Breakfast will be served starting at 8:30 am in the cafeteria.  Students wishing to eat may enter through the 5th grade doors and proceed to the cafeteria.

§  Masks: 
Each day please send your student to school with their mask on when they get on the bus or step out of the car. Begin speaking with your students about the requirement for wearing a mask while at school so they are prepared. Students will also be provided a lanyard to clip their mask to when not wearing it at lunch or recess to keep it from getting lost.    

§  Water bottles:  The school is providing each student with a reusable water bottle.  We encourage students to use water bottles to avoid using the water fountains. If parents wish to send students with a water bottle from home that is totally acceptable.

§  Supplies: 
The school has bought each student a pencil box and various supplies in order to not have students share. Your student will receive their supplies on the first day of school. 

§  Dismissal:  School ends at 3:20pm.  Once again the playground will be closed after school. Students are expected to go directly home.  

Online learning students:

     School begins August 24th.  Each student will be provided online learning kits to assist them with their online learning.  These kits can be picked up from the main office this Friday August 21st between 9:00 – 1:00pm.

     Chromebooks will also be available for checkout if you need one.

      Parent-Guided  At-Home Learning:

§     Workbooks are currently being gathered for students.
They will be ready for pickup in the main office on Friday August 21st between 9:00am – 1:00pm

      Lunches: Students will be able to order lunches through the cafeteria. In order to do so parents need to call the cafeteria at 801-826-7833 to place their order for the day no later than 9:00 am.   Parents will need to provide their student’s id number when ordering food.  Parents/students can pick up their lunches daily in front of the school in the north-west pick up area (in front of the green donation bin) between 10:45-11:15am.
